Drywood Termite Season What to Look For

Wednesday, June 30, 2010
Ah yes... Summer brings those hot and humid days especially here in Central Florida.  It also brings those afternoon rain showers we are so thankful for.  However, it also brings homeowners unwanted pest problems.  Included in those problems is wood destroying organisms such as Drywood Termites!  They can swarm to our homes from the wooded lot next door or from a forest a half of a mile away!

The Drywood Termites are have clean wings that are in fact two times as large as their body.  They are attracted to night-time lights around any structure, including our homes.  So you could see a swarm around your porch light or even around the light by your front door.  There also other signs to look for around the home on the outside.  Around your window area you can look for sand granular particles that will very in color.  You can continue your research on that information by searching our website.

We service areas such as, Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, Port Orange, Edgewater, New Smyrna Beach, Cocoa Beach, Rockledge, Palm Bay, Melbourne, Orlando and all suburbs, Debary, Deland, Deltona, Sanford, Crescent City, Palatka, St. Augustine, Jacksonville, Bunnell and Palm Coast.  Our knowledgeable staff will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.  Just give us a call and we'll do the rest!!
